Which GAF enhanced warranties can Weather Shield offer?
GAF's current contractor profile lists Weather Shield as GAF Certified Plus, which can offer System Plus and Silver Pledge enhanced limited warranties on qualifying GAF roofing systems. We confirm eligibility and provide the current written terms before installation.
Are the warranties transferable if I sell my home?
Transfer rules vary by warranty and current GAF terms. We provide the applicable written warranty and registration information so homeowners can follow the correct transfer process.
What does the workmanship warranty actually cover?
Workmanship warranties cover problems caused by installation errors - improper nail placement, incorrect flashing installation, inadequate ventilation, etc. If your roof leaks because of how we installed it (not because of material defects or damage), we fix it at no cost. This is separate from and in addition to material warranties.
What's NOT covered by roofing warranties?
Standard exclusions include: damage from severe weather events (covered by your homeowner's insurance), damage from foot traffic or falling objects, improper modifications by others, normal wear and tear beyond warranty period, and failure to maintain the roof. We provide maintenance guidelines to keep your warranty valid.
How do I make a warranty claim?
Simply call us at (843) 877-5539. For our workmanship guarantee, we handle everything directly. For GAF material warranties, we'll help you file the claim and facilitate the process with GAF. We keep records of all installations, so we can verify your warranty status immediately.
